Color Coordinating Your Home

Color Coordination

Try to connect each of your rooms with colors.  Decide on a color that should be present in each room and stick to it.  I often anchor colors by spray painting certain items in the room, such as picture frames, chairs or a table (its cheap and gets the job done!)  Also, I might buy a piece of fabric and cut out squares and unite spaces throughout the house using this fabric. Again, it’s extremely inexpensive but packs a punch.

Let me give you an example:  If you have a lot of green in one room then try to use 10% of that color in the adjoining room. If the adjoining room’s dominant color is blue, put 10% of that color in the green room. This will make your home flow and feel cohesive.
